| Jacob Tomlinson left Ross
County before the birth of his and Laura’s daughter,
Mollie, never to be heard from again. Laura vowed to have no more children and she didn’t. Jacob’s whereabouts remained unknown until this researcher, his Great Granddaughter, found him with his wife, Emily (Emma) Wolf Tomlinson, and children, in the 1880 census, living in Madison County. Also found were all of their burials in Madison County. |

Jacob Tomlinson married Emily (Emma) Wolf in Madison County, Pleasant Township. They married November 15, 1877. Jacob was the father of Mollie Cahill Tomlinson, but never married her mother, Laura Sarah Cahill.
Jacob died July 27, 1916 of Brights disease. Jacob was 64 years old, and is buried at Pleasant Cemetery, Madison County Ohio.
Emma Wolf Tomlinson died April 13, 1910 or Brights disease, also. Emma was 49 years old. Emma is also buried at Pleasant Cemetery, Madison County, Ohio.
Jacob and Emma had 2 children. Clara was born in 1879 in Pleasant Township, Madison County, Ohio. Edgar was born in 1885 in Pleasant Township, Madison County, Ohio. Clara married 3 times. Her first husband was named Kipp. No other information is available at this time about her first husband. Her second husband was Theodore S. Walls. They had 2 children -- Harry M. Walls, her son and Hazel Walls, her daughter.
She later married Ernest Rhoades. Her father, Jacob, lived with Ernest and Clara in the 1910 census.
